Halloween PVF Style
Halloween and autumn allowed us to have a little seasonal fun at Positive Vibes Fitness. We did our Great Pumpkin Workout. It was a pretty intense HIIT workout, and every exercise done in the workout (squats, lunges, presses, just to name a few…) used a pumpkin as a weight. Unlike a medicine ball, pumpkins are awkwardly shaped and sometimes a little slippery. So, gripping them adds a little extra work on the muscles of your hands and forearms. By the end of the workout – that pumpkin, no matter what size, got a little heavy. Thankfully, we managed to get through the hour without breaking any pumpkins.
