Don’t Fear Yoga
Many people have a subtle (or even blatant!) fear of stepping into a yoga class and trying something new. They picture instructors telling them to put their feet on top of their heads and touch their nose to their toes. Actually, what an instructor is there to do is to teach you how to listen to your body and to start where you are. The idea is not to turn you into a pretzel and cause you pain. It’s purpose is to encourage you to push yourself to the edge of your comfort zone.
If you give it a try, I promise you will begin to feel the benefits almost immediately. Having a yoga practice is a gift to your body that you enjoy giving. What are these amazing benefits, you ask?
